Job summary

The Salvation Army St. Cloud Corps is seeking a Housing Advocate to assist shelter participants and help run a 69-bed shelter in a respectful, safe environment. Responsibilities include monitoring daily activities, responding to crises, assisting with meal service, and completing program records.

The role emphasizes compassion, confidentiality, and teamwork with staff and community partners. Evening, weekend, and overnight shifts may be required, with a wage of $14.79 to $17.50 per hour for 24

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience with homelessness or vulnerable populations preferred.
• Experience in shelter/human services or related settings preferred.
• Must pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to shelter participants and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Monitor daily shelter activities, respond to needs and crises, assist with meals and operations.
• Complete required documentation and shift notes for program records.
• Share information about shelter services and community resources with participants.
