Job summary

Atria Senior Living, Inc. is seeking a dedicated transportation driver in Andover, MA to safely transport residents to activities and appointments. You will assist residents getting in and out of vehicles, secure wheelchairs, and perform routine vehicle maintenance checks.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe driving record, timely travel, and supporting the Engage Life Department with activities. A CDL and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years driving experience and knowledge of preventive maintenance.
• Commercial driver's license is required to operate commercial size vehicles.
• Able to operate large passenger vehicles and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, courteous transportation for residents and assist Engage Life or Maintenance Directors.
• Drive to social and other destinations per schedule; assist residents in and out of the vehicle safely.
• Secure wheelchairs and ensure passenger safety; practice safe driving techniques.
• Clean and service vehicles; report maintenance needs and track inspections.
• Deliver groceries/belongings to residents; assist with activities and programs.
• Submit travel expenses to the business office; maintain a safe driving record.
• Report unsafe conditions; respond to emergencies with basic First Aid; perform other duties as needed.
