Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Massachusetts seeks a responsible driver to provide safe, courteous transportation for residents and to support daily community activities.

Drive a bus or van on set schedules, assist residents safely, secure wheelchairs, and perform basic vehicle checks; report maintenance needs promptly. CDL is required to operate commercial size vehicles; benefits include paid holidays and PTO, health/dental/vision, life insurance, a 401(k) match, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 5+ years of driving experience with knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
• Commercial driver's license required to operate commercial size vehicles.
• Ability to operate a bus and assist residents safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, courteous transportation for residents on scheduled trips.
• Assist residents into and out of vehicles and secure wheelchairs as needed.
• Drive according to assigned schedule and maintain daily trip records.
• Deliver groceries and other belongings to residents' apartments.
• Assist the Engage Life Department with activities and programs as needed.
• Ensure charges are submitted to the business office daily for community travel expenses.
• Maintain a safe driving record and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Handle emergencies and basic First Aid when required.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
