Job summary

Atria Senior Living, Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking transportation staff to provide safe, courteous ride services for residents. You will drive to events, appointments, and community activities, assisting residents in and out of vehicles and securing wheelchairs as needed.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years of driving with knowledge of preventive maintenance, and a valid CDL. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, paid holidays, PTO, a 401(k) match,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• 5+ years of driving experience and knowledge of vehicle preventative maintenance programs.
• Commercial driver's license required to operate commercial size vehicles.
• Able to operate 7–16 passenger bus; limousine or car; wheel chair lift; dollies/hand trucks.
• Experienced with vehicle emergency repairs; tire changes.
• Knowledge of streets within an 8-mile radius of the community.
• Position requires driving responsibilities (may use Company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle).
• Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Atria’s Motor Vehicle Record Policy standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle from community to social and other destinations according to schedule.
• Assist residents into and out of vehicle safely.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices.
• Practice safe driving techniques at all times.
• Clean and service vehicle; report maintenance repairs.
• Maintain daily/weekly trip inspection and maintenance records.
