Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary experience preferred.
• Minimum one year cooking experience in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred.
• State/county licensure required; Food Manager Certification required or ability to obtain.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion foods per menu and recipes.
• Maintain safe food temperatures and cleanliness.
• Accommodate dietary needs as directed.
• Coordinate meal production with serving times.
• Assist with training of new kitchen staff.
• Document temperature logs and cleaning schedules.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
• Communicate with residents' families as needed.
• Support a team-oriented kitchen environment.
