Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC is seeking a Caregiver to provide routine daily care to residents with compassion and respect, following each resident's assessment and service plan. You will support ADLs, assist transfers, and report changes in condition to a nurse promptly, while promoting safety and resident dignity in a community-focused environment.

You will engage residents in social activities, respond to needs quickly, and ensure infection control practices are followed.

Qualifications

• Must meet state and federal requirements for this position.
• Prefer 6 months or more of experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and mobility while maintaining dignity.
• Assist with moving and transferring residents into and out of beds, chairs, tubs and wheelchairs using safe techniques.
• Communicate information and observed changes in resident condition to a supervisor promptly.
• Assist residents to walk with or without self-help devices as instructed.
• Encourage socialization and participation in activities and outings, and assist as needed.
• Respond promptly and courteously to all resident needs for care and requests.
• Observe residents' emotional condition and report changes to the nurse.
• Follow infection control practices and promote a safe environment.
• Check residents per service schedule to meet personal care needs according to wishes.
• Ensure resident safety during drills and perform other essential duties as assigned.
