Job summary

HarborChase of Boynton in Boynton Beach, FL is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily resident care with dignity and respect. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor residents, and respond to calls, while promoting nutrition and well-being.

You will support dining, laundry, and room care under supervision, ensuring a safe, caring environment and effective communication with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school education.
• Non-Certification with proper training, or possession of valid state certification as CNA.
• 1–3 years experience in a senior care community or nursing home environment preferred.
• Has a good understanding of how Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease can affect behavior.
• Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts.
• Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens.

Responsibilities

• Provides residents assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) while respecting dignity.
• Assists residents in meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
• Adheres to each resident’s Level of Care (LOC) and notifies supervisor of changes.
• Answers and responds to resident calls in a timely manner.
• Checks residents every two hours and reports findings.
• Completes assignment sheets daily.
• Escorts residents to meals and assists with meals as needed.
• Assists with cleaning and tidying resident rooms and dining area.
• Assists with resident personal laundry as directed by supervisor.
• Maintains relationships with residents and their families.
• Follows safety guidelines and proper body mechanics during lifting.
• Responds to resident emergencies and follows supervision.
• Discloses any medication that might impair performance.
