Job summary

TerraBella Senior Living is seeking a Care/Medication Technician to join the Park Oak Grove community in Roanoke, VA. The role provides hands-on care and supports residents in daily living, while maintaining a safe, home-like environment.

The position includes medication observation, documentation, and collaboration with the Health Care Coordinator and Nurse to ensure quality resident care and safety.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.
• High School diploma/GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• First Aid Certification preferred.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Caregiver duties including assisting residents with activities of daily living.
• Observe, report and document residents' symptoms and conditions.
• Respond to resident call bells promptly and assist with continence management.
• Assists with meals and snacks and helps keep resident rooms clean.
• Medication Technician duties including reviewing service plans and documenting medication administration.
• Restocks medication cart after passes and maintains medication room.
• Counts narcotics with nurse each shift and follows refill processes.
• Participates in development of the Service Plan and monthly updates.
