Job summary

TerraBella Senior Living in Pineville, NC is seeking a Care/Medication Technician to join our community. You will provide hands-on care and support to residents, while maintaining a safe, home-like environment.

The role includes medication administration, documentation, and assisting with daily living activities; previous senior care experience and CNA certification are preferred. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.
• High School diploma/GED
• Must be 18 years of age.
• CPR Certification preferred
• First Aid Certification preferred
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care Giver: responsible for a designated group of residents during the shift; checks on residents throughout the shift.
• Observes, reports and documents symptoms and conditions; responds to bells promptly and notifies supervisor if care needs increase.
• Assists with continence management and maintains sanitation; serves and collects food trays; helps with meals if needed.
• Maintains cleanliness of resident rooms and work areas; supports daily living activities and life enrichment.
• Greets and assists all customers, family members, residents and team members; performs resident laundry as needed.
• Medication Tech: reviews service plans and assists/observes medications using Six Rights of Medication Pass.
• Documents medications given and refills; maintains confidentiality of resident information; restocks medication cart.
• Counts narcotics with nurse or another manager; maintains and cleans medication room and charts; participates in service plan updates.
• Takes vital signs and reports concerns; follows safety and regulatory requirements; other duties as assigned.
