Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking a Resident Care Associate (RCA) to support residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will help with daily activities, execute individualized care plans, document services, and maintain dignity and quality of life for seniors.

Strong empathy, teamwork, and a patient, caring approach are essential. The role emphasizes safety, infection control, and adherence to company values.

Qualifications

• Compassionate disposition and genuine desire to serve seniors.
• Ability to meet both physical and emotional resident needs.
• CNA or HHA certification required; CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Upholds resident confidentiality and privacy.
• Flexible availability including weekends to ensure resident care.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and communicate with the Resident Care Director about changes in care.
• Aid residents with mobility using proper techniques and equipment.
• Conduct routine rounds to meet each resident's needs per their care plan.
• Assist with lifts, moves, and transport using safe body mechanics and devices.
• Maintain residents' skin integrity and manage continence care as needed.
• Document daily care activities per policy and regulatory standards.
• Report concerns promptly to supervisors and respond respectfully to inquiries.
• Familiarize yourself with individualized care plans and provide tailored support.
• Contribute observations to care planning and resident preferences.
• Interact respectfully with residents, families, staff, and visitors to foster a homelike environment.
• Provide physical, emotional, and psychosocial support and uphold residents' rights.
