Job summary

Senior Lifestyle Corporation in Colorado Springs is seeking caregivers to support residents in the Assisted Living Program with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing and medication reminders. You will follow supervisor schedules, provide emotional support and document daily logs while promoting residents' independence and dignity.

Qualifications

• Requires at least one year of experience in senior care.
• Acceptable proficiency in English to perform duties and communicate with supervisor and coworkers.
• You may need to have a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state.
• You have basic computer skills.
• You are compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic and helpful.
• You have the ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
• You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in high stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily log of assistance.
• Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
