Job summary

Yancey House is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment. This role requires empathy, attention to detail, and a commitment to residents' dignity.

The PCA will assist with ADLs, monitor health, encourage engagement in activities, and uphold safety and infection control protocols while collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support meal preparation, feeding, and hydration as needed.
• Observe and report changes in health or behavior to the nursing team; assist with medication reminders.
• Foster engagement through companionship and participation in activities and events.
• Maintain clean, safe living areas; follow infection control and safety procedures; respond to emergencies.
