Job summary

Yancey House is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide direct resident care, assist with daily living activities, and promote a safe, nurturing environment where seniors can thrive.

The role requires empathy, strong communication, and teamwork. You’ll support ADLs, monitor health, encourage social engagement, maintain clean living spaces, and follow safety protocols to protect residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; PCA/CNA training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in personal care or healthcare preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; patient and attentive.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Observe and report changes in health or behavior to the nursing team; monitor for adverse reactions to meds.
• Provide compassionate companionship and engage residents in social activities to promote well‑being.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe living areas and follow infection control protocols.
