Job summary

Wexford House Inc is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide direct care and support to residents in a senior living setting. You will assist with ADLs, mobility, meal support, and hydration while fostering dignity and independence.

The role emphasizes empathy, attentiveness, and teamwork within a compassionate care environment. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and PCA/CNA training; background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA/CNA or caregiver training program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in personal care or healthcare preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; compassionate and attentive to residents' needs.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility.
• Provide meal assistance, hydration, and feeding support.
• Monitor health changes; report to nursing team and administer reminders if applicable.
• Support resident engagement and safety; follow infection control protocols.
