Job summary

Somerset Court of Goldsboro is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide direct care to residents, assist with daily living activities, and foster a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA/CNA or caregiver training program preferred.
• 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration as needed.
• Help residents maintain personal hygiene and comfort.
• Observe and report changes in health, behavior, and physical condition to the nursing team; assist with medication reminders.
• Foster positive relationships and encourage participation in activities and events.
• Ensure living areas are clean, organized, and safe; follow infection control protocols and respond to emergencies.
