Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in New York is seeking compassionate Resident Service Assistants/Home Health Aides to provide hands-on care and companionship to residents in a respectful, dignified manner. You will support daily living activities, assist with ADLs, and help residents engage in meals and activities in a safe environment.

The role emphasizes reliable, patient care for a geriatric population, with a full-time schedule including one weekend shift per week (Tue–Sat or Sun–Thu).

Qualifications

• Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's or dementia is a plus.
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Previous experience with geriatric population preferred, providing ADL assistance.
• Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routines.
• Reliable, caring and gentle in touch and demeanor; respectful to the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents manage Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Escorting residents to meals and recreational activities.
• Supporting residents in achieving well-being (physical, emotional, psycho-social).
• Assisting in the Wellness area to ensure safety, comfort and wellbeing.
• Following policies and procedures and directions from supervisors.
