Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in New York is seeking compassionate Resident Service Assistants/Home Health Aides to provide hands-on care and companionship to residents in a respectful, dignified manner.

You will assist with Activities of Daily Living, escort residents to meals and activities, support emotional and physical wellbeing, and follow policies under supervision of the Director of Wellness. Full-time includes one weekend shift.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant or Home Health Aide.
• English speaking and reading proficiency.
• Experience with geriatric population and ADLs preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routines.
• Patience, professionalism and ability to redirect residents.
• Reliable, caring and gentle demeanor; respectful of elderly.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents manage Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Escorting residents to meals and recreational activities.
• Supporting residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional and psycho-social well-being.
• Helping out as needed in the Wellness area to ensure the safety, comfort and wellbeing of our residents.
• Following all policies and procedures, and adhering to the instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and the Director of Wellness.
