Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in New York is seeking compassionate Resident Service Assistants/Home Health Aides to provide hands-on care to residents in a respectful, dignified manner.

You will assist with ADLs, escort residents to meals and activities, and support their physical, emotional, and psycho-social wellbeing. This full-time role includes one weekend shift per week and requires CNA/PCA/HHA certification with a patient, caring demeanor.

Qualifications

• CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide certification is required.
• Experience with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia is a plus.
• Must be able to speak and read in English.
• Experience with geriatric population preferred, assisting with ADLs.
• Must be reliable, caring and gentle in touch and demeanor.
• Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routines.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents manage Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Escorting residents to meals and recreational activities.
• Supporting residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional and psycho-social well-being.
• Helping out as needed in the Wellness area to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Following all policies and procedures, and adhering to the Nurse Shift Supervisor and Director of Wellness.
