Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN to utilize the nursing process in delivering patient care and to maintain accountability for care quality for assigned patients. The role involves evaluating care effectiveness and coordinating with other departments to ensure comprehensive patient care while upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN license must be obtained and maintained in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• Must meet state board of nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or completion within 30 days of hire; ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM or other unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with Mercy Service Standards.
