Job summary

Mercy is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care using the nursing process and to maintain accountability for the care of assigned patients. You will evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by others and coordinate patient care with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

The role requires an RN license in the hiring state (or compact licensure) and BLS certification, with unit-specific certifications possible based on position.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification, or plan to obtain within 30 days of hire; additional unit certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
