Job summary

The Citadel of Skokie is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our care team in Skokie, IL. The RN will assume responsibility for a group of residents per shift, implementing care plans and evaluating outcomes.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring vitals, and coordinating with physicians and families. Candidates must hold an active RN license and have strong communication, multitasking, and infection control skills.

Qualifications

• Must have Nursing degree or diploma from an accredited college or university.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state.
• 1 year of experience preferred, long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide licensed care to residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with standards.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas and treatment rooms.
• Take vitals, administer IV therapy and catheter care within license limits.
• Document care in nurses notes and reflect resident responses.
• Identify and address safety risks to ensure a safe environment.
• Coordinate non-licensed services to maintain high-quality care.
• Communicate with residents, families, physicians, and staff per policy.
• Ensure care plans are implemented and suggest changes when needed.
• Ensure infection control compliance and HIPAA adherence.
