Job summary

Citadel Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Skokie team in a long-term care setting. You will take responsibility for a group of residents during your shift, delivering nursing care through assessment, planning, and evaluation of the care plan.

You will ensure safety, document care, and collaborate with physicians, families, and staff while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high standards of infection control.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree or diploma from an accredited college or university.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Maintains clean and sanitary work areas, resident care rooms and treatment areas.
• Takes and records vital signs, administers catheter care, IV therapy within license, and provides respiratory care as ordered.
• Documents nursing notes reflecting care and resident responses.
• Keeps environment free from accidents and hazards and addresses safety risks.
• Directs non-licensed ancillary services to meet professional standards and resident care requirements.
• Communicates information to residents, families, physicians and staff per policy.
• Ensures care plans are implemented and updated; recommends plan changes to the IDT.
• Follows HIPAA compliance and other company policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
