Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a dedicated nurse (RN or LPN) to provide direct patient care and supervise nursing staff in a small, community-based facility in Illinois. We offer flexible scheduling to fit school or family needs, along with tuition reimbursement and a generous referral bonus program.

All shifts are considered, and the team prioritizes warm, compassionate care for residents while adhering to federal, state, and local guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must possess current unencumbered RN or LPN license in IL and/or WI.
• Must possess CPR certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices and procedures.
• Demonstrates interest and knowledge in care of the aged.
• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with customers, family, visitors, staff, and public.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability.
• Must be personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to customers and supervise nursing assistants.
• Ensure supervision aligns with federal, state, and local standards and policies.
• Plan and direct care activities to maintain high quality care.
• Directly supervise and instruct the Ladies and Gentlemen of Alden on topics to promote knowledge.
• Ensure adherence to departmental policies and dress code.
• Develop written plans of care identifying customer problems/needs.
• Attend care plan conferences and participate actively.
• Report concerns to the Administrator and communicate with physicians as needed.
• Chart nursing notes and maintain accurate documentation of care.
• Complete admissions, transfers, discharges, and required assessments.
• Receive physician orders and relay to appropriate departments.
• Participate in ongoing education programs and supervise equipment and supplies.
