Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with strong assessment skills to join our Bristol Hospice team servicing Southern Utah (Murray), UT. This PRN hourly role requires a current state license and flexibility to cover a wide service area.

The RN will perform comprehensive patient and family assessments, develop and implement care plans, manage symptoms, and coordinate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality hospice care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience in an institutional setting.
• 1 year home care experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure for the state.
• Understanding hospice philosophy and care for terminally ill.
• Flexible in work hours.
• Ability to travel throughout Bristol Hospice Service Area.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing comprehensive patient and family assessments for hospice needs.
• Provide complete physical assessment and history of illness.
• Deliver professional nursing care using the nursing process.
• Develop and adjust care plans with patient and family input.
• Record pain/symptom management and outcomes.
• Communicate with physician regarding patient needs and orders.
• Educate patient and family in self-care techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• All other duties as assigned.
