Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to perform comprehensive patient and family assessments, develop and revise care plans, and provide skilled nursing care across the hospice continuum.

The role requires a Utah RN license, can involve travel within the service area, and supports a flexible PRN schedule with a strong emphasis on patient comfort and dignity.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of acute care experience in an institutional setting.
• Current Utah RN licensure and ability to travel across service area.
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient and family assessments.
• Familiarity with hospice philosophy and end-of-life care needs.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and ongoing comprehensive assessment of patient and family.
• Perform a complete physical assessment and history of current and previous illness.
• Develop and revise the plan of care with goals based on nursing diagnosis.
• Record pain/symptom management and communicate with physician.
• Educate patient and family on self-care techniques and care planning.
