Job summary

Bristol Hospice, Visalia area, is seeking an RN to join our team. This PRN hourly position focuses on comprehensive patient and family assessments and skilled nursing care within hospice services.

The role requires California RN licensure, 1+ year acute care experience, and willingness to travel across the Bristol Hospice service area. Excellent assessment skills and compassionate care are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse (RN) with current CA licensure.
• At least 1 year of acute care experience in an institutional setting.
• Home care experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel within Bristol Hospice service area.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing comprehensive patient and family assessments.
• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process.
• Develop and revise care plans with interdisciplinary team and family involvement.
• Document patient status and outcomes; communicate with physicians as needed.
• Educate patients and families on self-care and disease management.
• Travel as required to cover Bristol Hospice service area.
