Job summary

Corewell Health Grosse Pointe Hospital is seeking a part-time Registered Respiratory Therapist to deliver diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services under minimal direction. You will participate in education and support for physicians, patients, students, and staff, while maintaining equipment and department operations.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, Michigan Licensure, NBRC registry, and BLS certification at hire.

Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy.
• Respiratory Therapist License - State of Michigan Upon Hire required.
• Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC Upon Hire required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or American Red Cross Upon Hire required.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist: implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders.
• Participates in the education of patients, students, staff and physicians.
• Provides technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care.
• Assists with general department functions.
