Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist at Grosse Pointe Hospital in Michigan. Under minimal direction, you will implement diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services, assist physicians, and support education for patients and staff.

You will maintain equipment, participate in department functions, and contribute to a collaborative team focused on high-quality patient care in a 280-bed acute care campus with state-of-the-art facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy.
• Respiratory Therapist License - State of Michigan Upon Hire required
• Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care Upon Hire required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or American Red Cross Upon Hire required

Opened in 1945 by the Sisters of Bon Secours, it was acquired by Beaumont Health System in October 2007. Scope of work

Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist: implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders; participates in the education of patients, students, staff and physicians; provides technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care; assists with general department functions.
