The role requires an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, Michigan licensure at hire, NBRC registry, and BLS

Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Respiratory Therapist License - State of Michigan upon hire required
• Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care upon hire required
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Responsibilities

• Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders; participates in the education of patients, students, staff and physicians; provides technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care; and assists with general department functions.
