Corewell Health Southfield Center in Michigan is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to join the East Flex Pool. The RT will float between Royal Oak, Troy, Grosse Pointe and Farmington Hills, with a minimum of 72 hours in 6 weeks.

Under minimal direction, you will implement and evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services, educate patients, staff and physicians, provide equipment support, and assist with department functions.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Eligible for NBRC status with RRT credential upon hire.
• Michigan license required upon hire; CRT NBRC registry required at hire.
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC) at hire.

Responsibilities

Scope of Work

The Respiratory Therapist Flex B agrees to float within assigned hospitals throughout Corewell Health East. This position is scheduled and reports to the Corewell Health East Flex Office located at the Corewell Health Southfield Center.

Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist: implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders; participates in the education of patients, students, staff and physicians; provides technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care; assists with general department functions.

Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy
• Eligible for position after attainment of RRT NBRC status. Required
• 3 years of relevant experience 3 years clinical experience. Required
• LIC-Respiratory Therapist - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
• CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care Upon Hire required
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
