Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join our growing team at home care locations. You will set up home medical equipment including ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP units, and educate patients on proper usage of prescribed devices.

The role requires knowledge of pulmonary function, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel across assigned territory. You will maintain patient records and stay current with respiratory care practices, with on-call duties after hours and

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or certified in applicable state or national board
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients across territory
• Must maintain valid driver's license and auto insurance
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be computer literate with Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine appropriate treatment per physician orders
• Maintain patient records in compliance with accreditation standards
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and related concepts
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed, with frequency based on center size and staffing
