Job summary

ICL is seeking entry-level direct care staff to support adults with mental illness and substance use disorders in community residences. The role involves shift-based, 24/7 coverage, assisting with daily living, safety, and rehabilitation activities to help residents achieve personal goals.

You will work under supervision with the clinical team, conduct observations, participate in group activities, and help with transportation and medication support as needed.

Qualifications

• Entry requires knowledge of mental illness and related disorders.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions.
• Capacity to communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks, maintain clean, secure living areas.
• Report incidents and complete required documentation.
• Instruct residents in daily living skills and socialization.
• Follow emergency procedures to ensure safety of residents and staff.
• Assist with personal care and daily activities.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and adapt to schedules.
