Job summary

Lovington Healthcare is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to organize and manage residents' transport to medical appointments. You will coordinate driving schedules and ensure timely transports under supervision of licensed nursing staff.

Responsibilities include safety compliance, reporting resident status changes, and coordination with hospitals, physicians, and clinics to schedule care. The role requires a valid driver’s license and state nurse aide credential, with CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's Licensure for state of application.
• Nurse Aide on State Registry in good standing and completion of required training.
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by state

Responsibilities

• Organizes transportation of residents to appointments based on priority.
• Transports residents to inpatient/outpatient programs and to facilities and residences.
• Develops driving schedule aligned with scheduled medical appointments.
• Reports changes in resident status to clinical supervisor during/after transport.
• Transports medical records for signatures to medical offices.
• Maintains safety policies and clean, well-kept vehicle.
• Assists in lifting, transferring, or transporting residents as directed.
• Communicates with outside facilities to ensure services are scheduled properly.
• Reports scheduling changes promptly to DON and nursing staff.
• Ensures residents receive adequate hydration.
• Protects residents' personal property.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
