Job summary

Viva Senior Living At Harleysville is seeking a dedicated Resident Care Associate to provide direct care to residents with compassion and dignity. You will report changes in residents' conditions to the Resident Care Director and assist with daily living activities as needed.

In this role you will follow safety and infection control procedures, assist with lifts and transfers using proper body mechanics, and maintain confidentiality while upholding residents’ rights.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must maintain compassion and dignity for residents and respect their rights.
• Must adhere to attendance policies and facility procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents and communicate changes in condition to the Resident Care Director.
• Assist residents with lifts, moves, and transports using proper body mechanics.
• Respond promptly and courteously to inquiries from residents, visitors, and staff.
• Be knowledgeable of the individualized care plan and support residents accordingly.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, peers, and supervisors to promote a homelike environment.
• Uphold residents’ rights and report any abuse or policy violations.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures, including hand washing and proper disposal of materials.
• Arrive to work at the scheduled time and perform additional duties as required.
