Viva Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Resident Care Associate in the Nursing Department. The role reports to the Resident Care Director and focuses on providing compassionate direct care to residents, maintaining dignity, and adhering to safety and infection control standards.

You will work under established care plans, respond promptly to resident needs, and support a homelike environment while safeguarding residents' rights and confidentiality.

Formación

• Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.
• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds and assist in evacuations if needed.
• Must relate to and work with ill, elderly residents and maintain confidentiality.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct care to residents and communicate changes in condition to the Resident Care Director.
• Respond promptly and courteously to requests from residents, visitors, and other personnel.
• Be knowledgeable of the individualized care plan and assist residents according to the plan.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, peers, and supervisors to promote a homelike environment.
• Ensure residents' rights, report abuse or safety concerns, and maintain confidentiality.
• Perform safety and infection control procedures, including hand hygiene and proper disposal of materials.
• Attend scheduled shifts and participate in emergency drills and trainings.
• Fulfill responsibilities during evacuation or emergency plan activation.
