Job summary

Viva Senior Living at Geneva is seeking a Resident Care Associate to provide direct care to residents, assist with daily living activities, and ensure a compassionate, dignified environment. You will follow care plans, report changes to the care team, and maintain safety and infection control standards.

Responsibilities include assisting with lifts and transfers, responding to resident requests, and upholding resident rights and confidentiality while working as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must adhere to attendance policies and follow the Employee Handbook.
• Must be compassionate and dignified in resident care and interactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents and report changes to the Resident Care Director promptly.
• Assist residents with lifts, moves, and transports using proper body mechanics.
• Respond to inquiries from residents, visitors, and staff promptly and courteously.
• Follow individualized care plans and communicate observations to care planning staff.
• Interact with residents and families to promote a homelike environment.
• Ensure safety and infection control procedures, including hand washing and gloves as needed.
• Arrive to work at scheduled times and fulfill assigned duties.
• Maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information and report policy breaches.
