Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities in Tyler, Texas is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide basic care to residents and assist with daily living activities. The RA works with the nursing team to support wellness and independence, including personal hygiene, dressing, meals, housekeeping, and social activities.

Candidates should hold a current Nursing Assistant certification (or State Trained Nursing Assistant per state regulations) and have CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or State Trained Nursing Assistant per state regulations.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias.
• Ability to work as a team and support residents and families.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care to residents and assist with daily living activities.
• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
• Support housekeeping, laundry, meals, and social-recreational activities.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to promote residents' well-being.
• Engage with residents and families in a compassionate, professional manner.
