Job summary

Under supervision, you will assist with activities of daily living, monitor residents, document care accurately, maintain a warm, safe environment, and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Complete nursing arts course from an accredited program; evidence by diploma or certificate.
• Must be at least 16 and of good character.
• Provide evidence of employment/residence for two years prior to initial employment.
• Current CPR certificate or obtain within two weeks of employment.
• Able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that nursing procedures and protocols are followed as per policies.
• Assist with activities of daily living for residents as directed.
• Report concerns or changes to the Nurse or Administrator.
• Make rounds to ensure residents are safe and comfortable.
• Maintain warm, calm environment and quality care.
• Participate in in-service education programs.
• Assist orientation of new staff and residents to the facility.
• Record intake and output and monitor patient conditions.
• Assist with transfers, packing, and discharge procedures.
