Job summary

The Alden facility in Long Grove, IL is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide daily nursing care to residents in line with federal, state, and local standards. You will work under the guidance of the Charge Nurse and Nursing leadership to maintain the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, participating in care planning, and documenting resident status while promoting comfort and dignity for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language clearly.
• Successful completion of a nursing arts course in an accredited nurse training program and CPR certification within two weeks of employment.

Responsibilities

• Follow nursing procedures and policies to ensure high-quality care.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living as directed by nursing staff.
• Develop a written care plan for residents and participate in care plan conferences.
• Attend Resident/Family Council meetings when invited and report concerns to the Administrator.
• Maintain warm, calm environment and promote self-care in rehabilitation.
• Record intake/output and monitor residents’ nutrition and hydration.
