Job summary

The Alden Network in Aurora, IL is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to provide residents with daily care following federal, state, and local standards and facility policies, under supervision to ensure high-quality care. Under the supervision of licensed staff, you will assist with activities of daily living, monitor residents, and report changes promptly to the care team.

The ideal candidate will have a nursing arts certificate, be at least 16, possess a high school diploma or GED, CPR

Qualifications

• Nursing arts course completed in an accredited program with diploma/c certificate.
• Be at least 16 years of age and of good character.
• Provide evidence of employment/residence for two years prior to employment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR certificate or commitment to obtain within two weeks.
• Interest/knowledge in caring for ill, disabled, elderly; able to work with others.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with staff.
• Be personable and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities

• Follow nursing procedures and dress code as per policy.
• Assist with activities of daily living for residents.
• Develop and implement a written plan of care for each resident.
• Attend care plan conferences and family/community meetings when invited.
• Report concerns to the Administrator.
• Make rounds to ensure resident safety and comfort.
• Maintain a warm, caring atmosphere in the department.
• Participate in in-service education and orientation for new staff.
• Assist with supplies and equipment needs; inventory personal possessions.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and changes in resident condition.
• Assist with transfers, bed changes, and meal monitoring as needed.
• Respond promptly to call lights and errands.
• Support rehabilitation and promote resident self-care.
