Job summary

Villa Healthcare is seeking a Recreational Services Aide to assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational and social programs for residents. You will work under the supervision of the Recreational Services Director to support residents’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being.

You will help residents participate in activities, assist with attendance at programs, and communicate effectively with families and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of prior experience in a relevant role, preferred.
• At least one year of experience working in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Implements activity programming as planned and assigned to meet residents’ needs and interests.
• Assists residents to and from activity programs and outings.
• Maintains rapport with family members and encourages family support in programs.
• Provides input to assessment and evaluation of resident participation when requested.
• Communicates concerns and responses to interventions to the supervisor.
• Supports residents’ individual needs, preferences, routines, and choices.
• All other duties as assigned.
