Job summary

Gersh Autism is hiring a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work with students aged 5-21 across school settings in Issaquah, WA. You will implement BIPs and IEPs, provide one-on-one or small group support, and collect data under BCBA supervision to advance each student’s goals.

Responsibilities include collaborating with teachers, supporting daily living and social skills, maintaining thorough documentation, and upholding professional standards in a year-round program.

Qualifications

• Current RBT certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with ASD or in a special education setting.
• Ability to implement BIPs and collect data under BCBA guidance.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to work well in a team and interact professionally with students, families, and colleagues.
• Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with students with special needs.
• Confidentiality and adherence to school policies.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and IEPs as directed by the BCBA.
• Provide direct one-on-one or small group support in classrooms and school settings.
• Collect and record accurate data on student behaviors and progress.
• Assist in teaching strategies for academic, social, and behavioral growth.
• Conduct behavior management to decrease challenging behaviors and increase adaptive behaviors.
• Support students with daily living skills and self-regulation.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a supportive learning environment.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and BCBA supervision.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all duties.
