Job summary

Silver Birch Living in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a compassionate Qualified Medication Assistant (QMA) to support residents’ health, safety, and daily care by assisting with medications and personal care. You’ll help ensure residents feel cared for, respected, and supported every day.

The role includes administering medications, documenting care, and collaborating with the Wellness team to ensure smooth clinical operations, while maintaining electronic records and high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• QMA certification must be in good standing.
• Insulin certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to maintain required training and certifications.
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• Comfort using electronic documentation systems.
• Prior healthcare or senior living experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily care needs, including ADLs, per care plans.
• Administer, monitor, and document medications and treatments as directed.
• Observe residents and report changes to Wellness Nurse and clinical team.
• Document care and services in the electronic health record.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests.
• Provide friendly, respectful customer service to residents, families and staff.
• Collaborate with Wellness team to support clinical operations.
