Job summary

SUNSETRIDGE is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in resident care and treatment planning. The role emphasizes documentation accuracy, safety, and collaboration with the rehab team.

You will educate residents and families, assist with equipment needs, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives while maintaining licensure and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in electronic health records systems (Net Health, PointClickCare).
• Licensed PTA in the state and maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Document accurately per facility, government, and payer requirements.
• Maintain safe treatment environment per infection control protocols.
• Assist in resident care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home programs.
• Communicate progress to the team and physicians; participate in program development.
