Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Washington State is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support home health services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will perform treatment, provide exercise instruction and patient education to enhance well-being aligned with the plan of care.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment per state laws, guiding patients in exercises, observing responses, and coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification.
• Licensed/registered/certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in Washington.
• Weekend rotation availability required.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home care PT; perform only procedures qualified and trained to perform; report plan of care changes to supervising PT.
• Instruct and aid patients in active/passive exercise, gait, ADLs, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses; coordinate care with other health care team members.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within PTA scope.
