Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed therapists in delivering patient-centered physical therapy in a hospital setting. You will document progress, adjust treatment within the plan, and ensure patient safety and dignity throughout care.

Primary duties include assisting with procedures, coordinating workload in the department, and providing guidance to the Physical Therapy aide as directed by the supervising therapist.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's degree and state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Current licensure in the applicable state is required.
• Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy services.
• Document patient progress notes.
