Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy. You will perform delegated procedures, document patient progress notes, and adjust treatments within the established plan while ensuring patient safety.

You will address age-specific needs, treat patients and families with respect, identify safety issues, and coordinate workload with the Physical Therapy aide to support a collaborative department focused on comfort

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Current license to perform as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the applicable state.
• Entry-level suitability may apply.
• Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy and perform delegated procedures.
• Document patient progress notes.
• Modify a specific treatment procedure within the established plan as patient status changes.
• Provide technical direction to the Physical Therapy aide and coordinate workload in the department.
