Job summary

AgeCare in New Jersey is seeking a dedicated Personal Support Worker to provide compassionate, resident-centered care according to each resident’s care plan. You will assist with daily activities and help maintain a safe, supportive environment for residents, families, and staff.

You will monitor care, document observations, attend in-service trainings, assist in onboarding new staff, and strictly follow IPAC policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meet vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of basic sanitation, bedside care, and geriatric resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor care per the established plan of care; observe residents and report findings to supervisor.
• Document information pertaining to resident care as directed.
• Attend in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops.
• Assist in onboarding new staff as directed.
• Follow IPAC policies and procedures.
