Responsibilities

• Assist in the practice of physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed PT.
• Implement the physical therapy treatment plan as established by the PT and compliant with state laws and guidelines.
• Record residents' progress and request reexaminations as needed.
• Schedule and coordinate therapy sessions with facility nursing staff.
• Document physical therapy services in the resident's medical record and for billing purposes.
• Administer manual exercises and assist residents to perform prescribed therapies.
• Maintain equipment, ensure sanitation, and comply with facility policies.
