Regency Integrated Health Services’ Heritage Park Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to implement therapeutic programs under supervision of a Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercise and gait training. The PTA collaborates with clinicians to tailor plans, document patient progress, and contribute to positive outcomes.

Qualifications

Graduate of a two year college level PTA curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Current Texas license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Two years of home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinates and collaborates with the Physical Therapist and Rehab Director to integrate the therapeutic program into the plan of care.
Guides and teaches patients in exercises to improve range of motion, strength, balance, coordination, endurance, or functional ability.
Observes, records, and reports patient responses to treatment and changes in condition.
Participates in patient case conferences to coordinate the plan of care and promote positive therapeutic outcome.
Reports patient complaints of pain or sickness, and unusual reactions to treatment to the Physical Therapist and Coordinator.
